How do I arrange a group visit?
For school groups, contact Kim Wood at 251.208.5212, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule your visit. Click here for more information about tours and visits.

Can I host an event at the museum?
Yes, the museum is available for special event rentals of all kinds. For more information about rental space, capacity, and rates, click here>>
Is there a store or dining at the museum?
The Museum Store is open during our regular Museum hours, and there is a selection of snacks and coffee available, but we do not have full service dining at the museum. Click here to visit The Museum Store page, and to see nearby restaurants go to our General Information page.
Are there any days the museum is free admission?
The Museum is pay what you can EVERY THURSDAY for Mobile County residents and free everyday for members (with the exception of select special exhibitions).
What do I do with my coat or large bag?
Large coats and bags are subject to inspection by museum staff, however MMofA has lockers available to store your belongings.
MembershipsHow do I sign up for a membership?
You can submit a membership application online, call, or come in to the museum to fill one out. Click here to fill out your online application now.
What do I do if I lost my membership card?

Can I bring guests with my membership?
An Individual membership admits one adult. If you would like to bring a guest, you must purchase a Family or Friend Membership. For more information about different membership levels go here>>
What discounts do members get?
- Free museum admission (additional admission may apply for selected exhibitions)
- Receive mailed invitations to member-only events, openings, and programs
- 10% discount on select merchandise purchased in The Museum Store

- Access to MMofA Art Library and Research Center.

Is my membership tax deductible?
Online donations and contributions to the Mobile Museum of Art will have a transaction fee charged by the pay service company. Your tax deductible amount will be slightly less than the total amount of your donation. The museum will send you a letter stating the actual tax deductible amount.
How does an individual or a company support the museum?
The best way for an individual to support the museum is through membership or end of year donations. Click here to fill out your donation form and/or become a member.
Companies interested in supporting the museum, can do so through a sponsorship or corporate membership.

Yes, we offer adult classes throughout the year. Click here to see a list of our current adult class schedule.
What do you offer for children throughout the year?
We offer multiple after school classes and camps for children throughout the year. Click here to learn about them.
How do I sign up for classes?
For adult classes you can sign up online, in The Museum Store during regular hours, or pick up an Adult Classes brochure and mail in or drop off the attached registration form.
For children’s classes and/or summer camps you can download the registration form online and mail it in, fill in a form during regular hours at The Museum Store, pick up a brochure and mail in the attached registration form, or contact Kim Wood at 208-5212 or email email@example.com to sign up.
Do you offer internships?
Yes. Unpaid internship openings most often occur in the Education, PR/Marketing, or Curatorial departments, but we are willing to discuss tailoring an internship to meet the learning goals and skill-set of an applicant. Click here to fill out an application.
Do members get a discount for classes?
Yes, most classes have a discounted member price. Please see your registration form for the member price.
Appraisals, Authentications, and DonationsCan I bring work to the museum for someone to tell me if it is valuable?
The Mobile Museum of Art does not appraise or authenticate art, antiques, or artifacts. Please contact the following institutions to get in contact with an appraiser or conservator:

How do I give work to the Museum's collection?
A submission process is required for all art donations, which entails review by a Collections Committee. MMofA is not allowed to accept artwork dropped off or left at the museum for donation. Unsolicited works without a receipt will be destroyed if left. Please click here for more information on how to donate.
I am an artist and would like to exhibit my art in the Museum. What should I do?
Our exhibition schedule is planned approximately two to three years in advance and is carefully balanced to present our viewers with a varied artistic program. Therefore, we are rarely able to accommodate unsolicited submissions for exhibitions. To see opportunities for artists and art educators, please click here.
