The new
interactive, state-of-the-art, hands-on gallery that makes
learning about art fun!
ART Adventures is an interactive learning experience
for the whole family that will inspire children to learn
about art, appreciate it and understand it.
ART Adventures features hands-on exhibits suitable for
children ages 4 and up, a pre-school reading area that’s
great for tots, and a multi-media object theater designed
for all audiences.
Parents and teachers are encouraged to join in the learning
process!

Adventures has three components:

ART Theater |
 See
artists at work as we take you behind-the-scenes
in this multi-media video presentation. Objects
come alive as participants hear what artists say
about inspiration and the creative process. Visit
ART Theater and learn more about the art around
you and how it is shaped by our environment.

Lab |
 Build
a sculpture, create a collage, dress in costume,
and act out a work of art! Children will use their
imagination as they explore and experiment in this
interactive, hands-on gallery. With over 15 hands-on
exhibits and a creation station activity table,
Art Lab is an experience for the whole family to
enjoy.

Stops |
 Continue
your interactive learning experience in our permanent
collection by stopping at our ART Stops computer
stations. Each station highlights a featured ART
Theater artist and invites you to take a challenge
that will engage you in the artistic process.
ART Adventures is
included with your museum admission fee.
