MOBILE, Ala. – On Thursday, June 21, 2018, Mobile Museum of Art will open the Art Library and Research Center for members and local artists registered with the Teaching Artist Project (T.A.P.).

MMofA has been in the process of reorganizing their library and is excited to share this as a new perk for members and for artists in the area.

Every Thursday from noon until 6 pm, MMofA members and artists registered with the Museum will have access to the current art publications that the Museum subscribes such as The Art Newspaper, Art in America, Art Nexus, Architectural Digest, and various museum publications and newsletters. Guests will be able to relax in the reading area of the library.

The Teaching Artist Project is a database collaboration with the Mobile Arts Council and Alabama Contemporary Art Center that connects local creative folks to teaching and residency opportunities in the area. Local artists must register for T.A.P. or MMofA’s Artist Registry to gain access to the library.
