This class is for families to create together. Each month will feature a different art medium with a project tied to the MMofA collection. Parents are encouraged to stay and create with their families. Suitable for homeschool families.

Join us in exploring the art of paper doll making with artist Hannah Edge as she guides the whole family in constructing and designing their own unique moveable paper doll.
Thursday, November 16, 2023: Dusti Bongé Sunflower Abstract Paintings (Cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances)
Learn the basics of abstract painting tricks to blend like Bongé! We will use acrylic paints and roofing paper to create unique abstract sunflower paintings inspired by the artwork of Biloxi native and first Abstract Expressionist, Dusti Bongé.
Thursday, December 21, 2023: Faux Stained “Glass”
Artists will use tissue and construction paper to create an original artwork inspired by traditional stained glass. Explore light, color, and line through this art activity designed for the whole family.

Get creative by exploring elements of collage through scrap papers, transfers, and stamps to create a unique card design in time for Valentine’s.
Thursday, February 22, 2024: Vintage Baseball Card Mixed Media
Create a unique vintage baseball card-themed artwork featuring your favorite player or yourself! Send us or bring in a printed photo of your favorite player or yourself to use in creating a vintage baseball card of your own.
