“To sit in the shade on a fine day, and look upon verdure, is the most perfect refreshment.”

~ Jane Austin

Come refresh your heart and mind in this six-week course. Artist and educator, Bronco Sloan will lead an adventure in landscape acrylic painting (Plein Air painting, light and weather permitting, otherwise, site-specific painting from photographs).

In this beginning to intermediate session, we will help build your creative process by exploring various styles, expanding color theory, and exercising new methods of seeing your work and the world around you. We will focus on personalizing theoretical and practical painting principles.

Major talking points will include:
-Observational painting
-Local color and relative color
-Value, highlight, and shadow
-Perspective and depth
-Focus and composition
-Visual vitality and efficiency of motion

Thursdays, April 1 – May 6
