This six-week course is for potters who want to enhance their wheel throwing skills. A variety of topics will be covered.

Week 1: Cylinders and Bowls
Week 2: Ins and Outs of Form (Vases, Bottles, Closed Form)
Week 3: Single-throw Lidded Vessel & Throwing off the Hump
Week 4: Tea set or Thrown Sculpture
Week 5: Goal Project Week
Week 6: Wrap Up Week

**To register for this class, participants must have wheel throwing experience and be able to center clay unassisted.**

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kyle Miller started his study in ceramics at the University of West Florida with sculpture and wheelthrowing under Meghan Gates. With her supervision he undertook several research projects in glaze formulation and application. He then began work in slip-casting and mold making under Justin Quaid. After assisting in the teaching of ceramics courses he worked as a ceramics studio tech at the university, First City Art Center, as well as the Autism Resource Center in Pensacola. He has studied alongside prolific ceramicists such as Maria Spies and Tony Wright. He has also gained notoriety for his funded research in alternative firing methods and immersive ceramic installations. He currently practices his craft in Mobile and looks forward to growing and fostering the Mobile clay community.

DURING YOUR VISIT:
