Art as Business: Professional Development Model is a program designed just for artists! Creating and sustaining a successful career in the art business requires knowledge of business fundamentals and a plan of action that works for each artist’s individual management and creative lifestyle. This intensive hands-on 24 hours program targets the individual who is an artist and entrepreneur in any creative arts area: visual, writing, dance and performance, theater, sculpture, painting, film, or multi-media combination.

Renown artist and ASCA Fellowship recipient Curtis Benzle will present Module 1: All Artists Making a Living in an intensive 2-day weekend workshop devoted to providing all artists with business knowledge and a plan for creating self-sustaining career income. Workshop topics include “Creating and Selling Your Art”, “Product Development” and “Teaching Art in the Community,” as well as offer professional advice and guidance for attendees.

The Art of Success: Taking it to the Next Level: Module 2 provides an interactive hands-on 6-weeks program for the artist entrepreneur to develop an artist statement, business model and plan of action that will create a roadmap for them to visualize, understand and be able to implement, resulting in a successful ROI (return on investment) Topics include “Moving from Chaos to Clarity,” ”My Story Board: Vision and Mission” and “Setting Your Artistic GPS.”  Having creative and artistic experience, business experts Sher Graham and Pat Scanland will facilitate this module providing small group and 1:1 guidance.
