Thinking about signing up for a class? From hand building and wheel throwing with clay to beginning oil painting, find which class is right for you before you sign up! Meet art instructors and see live demonstrations of the classes they will teach in the coming year. Refreshments will be served. Free for members, see below for non-member activity prices.

Guests have a choice of three different art activities in which to participate, each lasting approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

Angie King, MMofA Curator of Art Education, will teach how to throw a clay pot on the potter’s wheel. Pieces will be fired and can be picked up later at the museum. Cost for non-members is $20, FREE for members. Pre-registration is highly recommended as space is limited.

Yuko Jordan will teach a lesson in Zentangle, the art of mindful drawing. Students will learn how to create abstract but thoughtful designs with paper and pens. Cost for non-members is $5, FREE for member.

Matthew Thompson will teach a lesson from his upcoming Expanded Tools for Drawing class.  Participants will learn how a grid method can help them to enlarge their drawings into something truly magnificent. Cost for non-members is $5, FREE for members.
