We are pleased to invite Dr. Randall C. Sheets, Director of Music at Springhill Presbyterian to give a talk on Mindfulness, Listening and Forty-Part Motet. In response the Janet Cardiff’s world renowned sound installation, Randy was inspired to explore the nuances of listening when you are surrounded by sound. Tying in mediation practice the history and function of devotional music, Dr. Sheets will draw from his long time experience in the church to talk more broadly about mindfulness in music.
