The word landscape originally meant “region or land”, but came to mean a picture of scenery on land.  The Museum’s collection contains American landscape paintings from the 19th century to today, linking to an art reaching back to the beginning of civilization.  Join this landscape tradition and let our museum educators teach you how to create horizon lines to foregrounds and everything in between.
