ART TALK: Curators on Alexander Calder

Thursday, September 28 @ 6:30 pm

Throughout his career, noted modern artist Alexander Calder (1898–1976) worked with a variety of materials and frequently embraced the spirit of collaboration. Discover the fascinating story behind this rarely-seen textile designed by Calder and brought to life through the hands of others. Join Laura Leonard, Art Bridges Project Coordinator + Curatorial Researcher, the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, Connecticut, to explore Calder’s creative influences and artistic process.

This Spotlight exhibition is one in a series of American art exhibitions created through a multi-year, multi-institutional partnership formed by the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art as part of the Art Bridges Cohort Program.
