FOR CHILDREN 2020

Our popular children’s exhibition is undergoing some updates! Mark you calendar for the reveal of FOR CHILDREN 2020 on December 14, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

We will celebrate the new and improved exhibition with a kid-friendly, Winter Wonderland-themed opening party, only open to Mobile Museum of Art members*, with art activities provided by the Museum School, face painting, a bouncy house, food trucks, and lots of fun just in time for the holidays.

FOR CHILDREN 2020 will feature more immersive installations, interactive elements like a giant LITE BRITE, video projections, miniature environments designed by local artists, and different themed rooms, all designed to teach kids the basic elements of creative art and design.

By purchasing a Family Membership before opening day, visitors are invited to bring all children under 18 in your household to the opening party, and will receive membership perks like free general admission to MMofA and more than 150 museums in the Southeast year-round, discounts on classes, and invitations to special programs throughout the year. To attend the opening party with children, visitors must hold a membership at the Family level or higher. Become a member today to join the fun>>

After the opening party on December 14, this exhibition will open to the public the following Tuesday, December 17, with regular general admission plus a special exhibition fee of $5 per person and $3 for children ages 6 and below (applicable to FOR CHILDREN 2020 only).

This exhibition is generously sponsored by several foundations, businesses and organizations in Mobile: The Crampton Trust, established by Katharine Cochrane Crampton, Spire Energy, The Caring Foundation, ServisFirst Bank, and Hand Arendall LLC. The exhibition is conceived and organized by Museum director Deborah Velders and designed by Don Bowden Architecture with additional design assistance from Star Design Graphics of Mobile.
