Ghouls, Goblins, and Dead Artists, oh my!
Torn between a love for the hocus pocus of Halloween and the colorful celebrations of the Mexican Holiday, Day of the Dead, the Mobile Museum of Art has done the unthinkable: combined black cats, headless horsemen and candy corn with bright marigolds, colorful papel picados, and sugar skulls as only an art museum knows how.
Grab your costume and crawl on over for a night of witchcraft, wizardry and Warhol. It’ll be a pre-pre trick-or-treat, with spooky art activities, a mysterious photoBOOth, and plenty of cavity-causing candy! However, this won’t be all doom and gloom, as we pay homage, Day of the Dead style, to some of the Museum’s most beloved artists.
