In painting any subject, balancing what you see and how you want to interpret it with the brush can be daunting to many artists. During this workshop, Cat will demonstrate her process and the methods she employs while painting with an expressive, “Alla Prima” style. Following the demo, students will begin paintings of their own while receiving one-on-one instruction. During this in-depth course, students will begin to “see” in terms of drawing, intentional color, value, composition, and edges while exercising their own creative voice.
This workshop is open to artists of all levels working in oil, previous experience recommended. Students may work from their own photographs or the provided reference material. Supply list will be provided upon registration.
Please bring your own lunch. The class will take a break for lunch each day.
