In this call-and-response style program, we’ve invited Power Lines Poets, a Mobile-based poetry troupe that features local writers of various styles and genres, to each respond to a photograph in the new exhibition Posing Beauty in African American Culture. Come hear all the spoken word responses and get a chance to talk to each of the poets about what it means to ‘represent’ and the opportunities of various art forms.
