As always, we thank Dr. Bantens for his generous gifts of knowledge and inspiration. We are deeply appreciative of him for all he has done for the Mobile Museum of Art. He is truly, in Chaucer’s words, the perfect scholar, “Gladly would he learn and gladly teach.”
