About the artist:
Vaughn Millner is an artist, professional educator, therapist, and researcher, bringing her positive life perspective to her art. Using ancient and traditional metal working techniques, she infuses history and passion into contemporary art pieces. Vaughn’s jewelry is made of polished sterling silver, with some pieces oxidized to create a dark patina. Many pieces have an overlay of 18K or 23K gold and are enhanced by gems, enamels and other metals. From her studio on the Mobile-Tensaw River delta, she creates individually hand-fabricated pieces. Although some works are a part of a series, each piece is unique. She uses a wide range of time-honored techniques and materials. Her jewelry is intended to be unique, feel comfortable and transcend trends.
