5 Mobile Artists

October 6, 2017 – January 7, 2018

5 Mobile Artists, an exhibition opening October 6, 2017, at The Mobile Museum of Art, presents five artists that have been an integral part of the contemporary art scene in Mobile, Alabama and continue to inspire the next generation of artists from our region.

John Cleverdon
James E. Conlon
Kaye Wall Hoffman
James E. Kennedy
Tut Altman Riddick

This exhibition highlights these five artists as true pioneers for the arts in the new South. They all have shown a unique perspective of the world around them for more than 60 years. Portraiture, figurative, still life, and abstraction are all represented with a great sensibility for the subject matter and materials.

Curated by Stan Hackney, Manager of External Affairs and Curator of Contemporary Art at Mobile Museum of Art, 5 Mobile Artists is on view at Mobile Museum of Art January 7, 2018 through February 4, 2018.
