Over this summer, I’ve grown into myself in more ways than I would have believed, thanks to the wonderful internship at the Mobile Museum of Art. When asked what I learned, besides rambling, I say this: I realized that I picked the right major for me.
In my first post, I said that my goals were to learn more about the Public Relations field as well as contribute to the MMofA. On my first day, I jumped headfirst into the deep end. As the weeks passed, I realized that few things felt like a painful task to me. Editing photos? I love it. Writing a press release? I’m on it. Press runs in the exhausting summer heat? No problem. The internship never felt like work. I also contributed to the MMofA and finished with designing a brochure. Furthermore, I met so many wonderful people and made connections for my future career. I met my goals.
I’ll keep this post short and sweet. While I wish that the summer did not have to end, and while I wish that I did not have to leave the MMofA family, I am excited to see what the future holds for me with my newfound skillset and experience.
I’m still so thankful for this opportunity.
