We’re excited to announce that architect and designer, Don Bowdon has won top awards from his peers at a conference for the Alabama Chapter of American Society of Interior Designers for his redesign work at Mobile Museum of Art.
For his work at MMofA, Bowdon won the highest honor for the institutional category and the award for overall best design as selected by the industry partners. Bowdon and his firm received 10 total awards for projects as well as a lifetime achievement award for Bowdon.
Bowdon’s work at MMofA included the lobby floor design, the upstairs’ industrial floors and East Gallery’s wall design, the cases’ and installation’s wall design and color in the Maisel Gallery, and the wood floors throughout 1st floor galleries. This design was made possible by our supporters who contributed to our 50th Anniversary capital campaign.
