MMoA Hiring Senior Preparator

Mobile Museum of Art is hiring a full-time Senior Preparator. Applicants should have professional and specialized work experience in the design, creation, implementation and maintenance of museum exhibits.
This position is responsible for translating staff ideas in the development and implementation of museum exhibits through sketches, drawings, scale models, lighting, signage, arrangement of objects and for exhibit installation and take down. Work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures under the general supervision of the director, museums manager or other superior and supervision may be exercised over museum attendants, crews building displays or other employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Attainment of a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably a master’s degree, from a recognized college or university in graphic design, commercial art, industrial design or closely related field, and a minimum of three years responsible experience in a museum, preferably including some related construction, model making or graphics experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
