The Mobile Museum of Art is hiring a Museum Facilities Technician. This position is a full-time position with full benefits. Under the direction of the Operations Manager for Facilities, Security and Logistics, this position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of museum facilities and equipment including mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and electrical repair and maintenance.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this person will be responsible for performing various technical and mechanical maintenance and repair tasks on critical climate control, electrical and other systems for museum facilities, as well as operating, maintaining and repairing various types of equipment. The position may require irregular hours including nights and weekends.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of an associate’s degree or trade school certification in facilities maintenance or related field, and a minimum of three years experience in facilities maintenance or related field; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements. An ideal candidate will have experience and/or training in heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems; perform preventive and scheduled maintenance tasks and complete repairs as necessary; conduct preventive maintenance on museum facility and systems; have ability to work on a computer; have the ability to operate construction and mechanical equipment; work with attention to detail and a solid work ethic.
