MOBILE, Ala. – Starting Saturday, June 22, Mobile Museum of Art will implement new summer hours, by adding one extra night to our schedule.
Mobile Museum of Art will now be open from 10 am to 8 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 am to 5 pm on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and 12 pm – 5 pm on Sundays. Regular admission will still apply every day except Thursdays, which are free for Mobile County residents—some fees apply for special exhibitions, like For Children.
New hours kick in following MMofA’s Summer Solstice Celebration, on Friday, June 21, from 6 to 9 pm. This event celebrates the longest day of the year and first day of summer with half-priced MMofA memberships, food and drink sponsored by Naman’s Catering and Rouses Market, “poptails” from Frios Gourmet Pops, museum tours, door prizes, a bouncy house, and other family activities.
In today’s rapidly changing world, these initiatives are part of our strategy to align our priorities with our communities’ needs and meet Mobile residents, visitors, and artists wherever they are. MMofA strives to keep the pace and contribute to Mobile becoming the “safest, most business and family-friendly city in America by 2020.”
