Mobile Museum of Art would like to welcome new Grant and Donor Engagement Specialist, Melinda Clark, to the Museum Finance and Administration Team!
Get to know our new Team member, and if you see them roaming the Museum, feel free to say hi.
Melinda is an East Tennessee native and moved to Mobile in 2018 from Decatur, Alabama, where she had a long career in the tourism industry. She has an extensive history in historic site development, parks and recreation, and as Director of Decatur Morgan County Tourism. In these various roles, she accomplished work on a number of grant projects that helped impact community cultural growth, sports-facility and park development while using historic and natural resources to strengthen tourism. Upon moving to Mobile, she served as Development Officer at Dumas Wesley Community Center.
Melinda is married with three children and two grandchildren. She loves the outdoors, sports, cooking, horticulture and spending time with her family. She enjoys discovering what makes a community work and assisting in helping it thrive. She believes Mobile Museum of Art has a palpable energy, looks forward to learning from everyone on the MMofA team, and helping the museum continue to grow as a place of creative, connected community.
