Celebrate the holidays at Mobile Museum of Art’s Holiday Market & Open House! Join us for local shopping, live music, food trucks, art activities, and free admission to the Museum. Knock out your holiday shopping while supporting local artists at our market. Vendors sell handmade items like jewelry, pottery, self-care products, and baked goods. Enjoy local, live music from Denver Hawsey while you shop, and be sure to stop by Flying Pig, frios, Lil Donut Factory, Los Rollin’ Bros, and Neon Grill for tasty treats.
During the Open House, explore MMofA’s popular children’s exhibition, FOR CHILDREN: The Elements of Art & Design. Muffinjaw Designs will be on-site for visitors to watch live glassblowing. Admission to the Museum will be free all day in addition to the afternoon activities.
About Makers Market
Makers Market is an event hosted by Mobile Museum of Art in June and December. What started as a humble night market in 2014 has become an exciting event that’s the talk of the town today.
When we originally came up with this program, we wanted to find a way to bring our community’s talented artists together to sell their wares. In the past decade, we’ve celebrated creativity, our community, and local business through the market. Not only is this an opportunity for small businesses to flex their craft, but it also acts as great exposure for these artists.
Makers Market has become one of MMofA’s most dynamic and well-attended events. The last three markets have brought together nearly 800 people at each event, and we’re gearing up to do even more!
MMofA is currently seeking sponsors for the FY2024 Makers Markets!
Sponsorships cover the cost of running the markets including advertising, art supplies, printed materials, and more. This event is a great opportunity to not only support your community’s local artists, but it’s also a great chance to promote your business. For more information, please click here.
