Mobile Museum of Art is kicking off the summer with a Makers Market and Open House. Join us for an afternoon of local shopping, live music, food trucks, art activities, and free admission to the Museum! Support local artisans at the Makers Market, which will feature a variety of handmade items, such as jewelry, pottery, self-care products, and baked goods. Enjoy local, live music from the Bailiwick Brothers while you shop, and be sure to stop by Frios Pops and Lil Donut Factory for tasty treats.
During the Open House, MMofA’s newest special exhibition, 3 American Artists, will be open with an interactive, community art activity led by artist Monica Beasley. Local artist Lucy Gafford will be here to lead a creative art activity celebrating her museum installation, Fantastical Forest. Also on-site, artist Dixon Stetler will introduce her site-specific installation, A Nest of One’s Own. Admission to the Museum will be free all day in addition to the afternoon activities.
